Tools that run entirely in your browser

The JSON Formatter, JWT Decoder, Hash Generator, UUID Generator, Color Converter, Base64 Converter, Timestamp Converter, Markdown Editor, PDF Merge, PDF Split and PDF Viewer do all of their work on your own device. The text, files and images you open with them are never uploaded, never transmitted to us, and never stored on a server.

Tools that send your file to a service

Some tools cannot run in a browser and need server-side processing: PDF Convert, PDF OCR, PDF Compress and the Image Compressor. When you use one of these, the file you choose is sent over HTTPS to our own processing service (hosted on Fly.io), which performs the operation and returns the result to you. The file is deleted immediately after the request completes — we do not retain a copy of it, and we do not read its contents. It is not passed to any third-party document service.

What is stored on your device

The site keeps two small preferences in your browser’s local storage: your light or dark theme choice, and the list of tools you have starred as favourites. Both stay on your device, are readable only by this site, and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser storage removes them.

Advertising

Advertising is not currently enabled on this site, and no advertising cookies are set today. It is intended to be funded by advertising supplied by Google AdSense so that it can stay free. When that is switched on, Google and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to measure and, where you have consented, personalise the ads you see, and this page will be updated with a new date. In no case do we give advertisers the contents of anything you put into a tool — they have no access to it.

You can review and change your advertising choices at any time through Google My Ad Center, or opt out of personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Once advertising is enabled, visitors in the EU and UK will be shown a consent prompt on their first visit that governs whether personalised advertising cookies are used, and that choice can be changed at any time from the link in the site footer.

Third parties we rely on

• Cloudflare — hosts and serves the site.
• Fly.io — hosts the services that perform PDF conversion, OCR, compression and image compression.
• Google AdSense — will supply the advertising, once enabled.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used by the site.

As part of delivering the site, these providers necessarily process standard technical request data such as your IP address and browser user-agent.

Your rights

Because the site has no accounts and does not build a profile of you, there is normally no personal data held about you for us to export or erase. If you believe we hold information about you and want it removed, or you have a question about this policy, contact us at the address below.
